Oilseeds Scraper Conveyor Introduction
Oilseeds scraper conveyor is a kind of transportation equipment that conveys the bulk material continuously by the moving scraper chain with long distance. It is simple in structure, light in weight, small in size and convenient in installation and maintenance. The scraper conveyor not only can be conveyed horizontally but also can be tilted or vertically conveyed.
Components of the Scraper Conveyor System
The main structure and components of various types of scraper conveyor are basically the same.  It consists of three parts, the head, the middle part and the tail part. The conveyor’s head is made up of the head frame, motor, coupling, reducer and sprocket parts etc. The central part is composed of transition trough, middle trough, chain and scraper and so on. The conveyor tail is a device for the return of scraper chain. The tail of heavy scraper conveyor has the power transmission device, which is the same as the head.
Working Principle of Oilseeds Scraper Conveyor
The open chute is the bearing body for conveying materials such as palm fruit, corn, peanut, and soya bean, etc.. Fix the scraper on the chain to compose scraper chain which is used as a traction component. When the transmission part of conveyor’s head is started, the scraper chain drives the sprocket on the head shaft rotating to make the scraper chain circulate with oilseeds along the chute until the head for oilseeds unloading. The scraper chain does the step-less and closed cycle movement around the chain wheel to transport oilseeds.
Details of Scraper Conveyor
In order to control oilseeds feeding and transporting, stabilize the operation of embedded scraper conveyor, there should set a valve or feeder like K reciprocating feeder, impeller feeder at the lower part of the hopper silo. This is particularly important for conveying materials with good liquidity or large capacity. Otherwise, the material will generate great pressure on the scraper; the feeding zone and the conveyor tail will be filled with material, and cause the clogging of conveyor bend, result in overload. To make the material pass smoothly, the angle of the sliding angle should be greater than the rest angle of material, generally about 55 -60 degrees when connecting the storage bucket, silo, feed pipe and unloading chute with embedded scraper conveyor.
When the embedded scraper conveyor runs horizontally, the material is subjected to the pressure of the scraper chain in the direction of movement. The pressure and the weight of the material itself generate internal friction between material. The frictional force ensures a stable state between the layers of the material. It is enough to overcome the external friction force produced by the movement of the material in the slot so that the material is transported in a continuous and integral flow.
When the embedded scraper conveyor is lifted vertically, the material is subjected to the pressure of the scraper chain in the direction of movement. The lateral pressure of the transverse direction is produced in the material, and the internal friction of the material is formed. At the same time, because of the continuous feeding of the flat section, the lower material produces the load of the upper material successively. This friction and load force is sufficient to overcome the friction resistance of the material which is caused by the movement of the material in the slot and the weight of the material itself. Therefore oil materials can form a continuous flow to be raised.
